Talking Drums meet Afrobeat – Mamadou’s Fantastic Band featuring members of Afro Beat band Super Yamba

Mamadou Mbenge is a master of the tama talking drum from Senegal, West Africa who follows a long line of griot (oral story-tellers) musicians. The Fantastic Band play drum-heavy dance grooves that are rooted in West African rhythms alongside with R&B, soul, jazz – and whatever else strikes their fancy. Mamadou will be joined by members of the Brooklyn-based Afro-funk band Super Yamba.
